As I work on my second year of daily blogging ( I am quickly approaching 400 consecutive days!), I’m occasionally asked how much time I spend each day on blogging.
A good question.
And the answer?
From the blog post’s conception to its first rough draft, a selection of a photo (when desired) and its editing, followed by a Grammarly edit, a WordPress upload of both the post and the photo, the second edit of a printed rough draft (my most important step!), pushing the WordPress publishing button, and finally, the subsequent Twitter scheduling (for distribution), takes me about one cup of coffee.
That’s right—when it comes to blogging, I measure time in terms of cups of coffee.
Why?
Because to blog every day requires routine, and attaching my daily blog posting to my favorite daily routine (drinking my morning cup of coffee), makes daily posting nearly effortless.
