Although a horse saddle is a beautiful piece of engineering, whenever I see one, I think instead of the mathematical saddle point—in this case, the central point on the surface of the saddle which curves up both ways along one axis, but curves downwards both ways in the perpendicular axis.
In some ways, this saddle point represents where I am on my creative journey.
I have just completed an easy downhill climb, and I am getting ready for a final upward push. But, a little too far to the right or a little too far to the left and I may well fall off.
Happy trails.
