Right now, most of my creative energy is focused on writing—especially in the fiction arena—but this week I have also started a course on one of my creative hobbies: black and white photography.
Here’s an odd thing. Despite having committed to completing two of my writing projects by year’s end, the photography course doesn’t feel like a distraction—it feels like an inspiration.
I wonder why that is? Perhaps creative energy is fundamentally different than physical energy? Perhaps creative energy doesn’t have a Law of Conservation, but a Law of Amplification?
