I recently attended the Museum of Flight’s The Walt Disney Studios and World War II exhibit.
As with any corporate-based exhibit about itself, it was unsurprisingly pro-Disney. For example, it certainly didn’t delve too deeply into such issues as the USA’s Japanese Internment during WWII.
But that wasn’t my greatest takeaway—after all, I am doubtful of even the existence of a humanity-based corporate ethics, let alone its implementation. (See my post “ΨMorality”, And Why Corporations Are Like The Gods.)
Instead, I was stunned by the explosion of creative energy from the people of Disney during that time. The quality, diversity, and volume of the content they generated were stunning, and for anyone in the creativity business, this is a must-see exhibit. It shows what can be achieved when a highly motivated group pulls in the same direction.
