Today, I am wandering.
Don’t get me wrong. Usually I am all about plans.
I love SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant , Timely). I use OmniFocus everyday. I do both a weekly and monthly review, when I review my projects list within the context of my 1 year and 5 year plan, and also my mission.
All good and well, but right now, I am at the cutest Starbucks in the world, at the corner of Pinckney Street and Charles Street in Boston, thinking about who else walked these streets, and what they were thinking.
No plans, no projects. Just an open receptive mind.
When you are deeply involved in your digital platform, or your social media expansion, or your AI integration, occasionally just stop what you are doing, and just wander.
Wander physically and take a walk.
Wander digitally and learn something new.
Wander around a library along a row of books you would never normally read.
What you do to wander is less important than how you do it – with an open mind and an open heart.
Just wander.
