Who does Amazon think I am? (Or, at least, what does Amazon’s AI algorithm think I will buy?)
The above screenshot is a visual list of the digital magazines which Amazon thinks I will be interested in, all found at the bottom of my Amazon account page.
They aren’t too far off the mark. A strong emphasis on literature and philosophy, with a touch of science and science fiction. (The science-fiction emphasis is interesting because I haven’t been deep into sci-fi reading for decades, however, I do watch a fair amount of sci-fi on Amazon Prime Video).
So this is my Amazon digital phenotype as a potential consumer of digital magazines.
But perhaps the more interesting question is this:
How would Amazon create my digital phenotype as a healthcare customer, and would I be as comfortable with that result?
