“The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.”

Wittgenstein

If you don’t understand what bosons and fermions are, you can’t understand quantum physics.

If you don’t understand what a Lorentzian manifold is, you are going to have a difficult time understanding four-dimensional spacetime.

If you don’t understand what deontology is, then you will have a hard time comparing it with the ethics of utilitarianism.

Language may not be everything—but it is something—and I do believe having a rich vocabulary and grammar expands one’s world.
