I am deeply interested in philosophy and have been studying it (both formally and informally) for years.

Here are the standard branches of philosophy which I have given some attention:

  • Aesthetics
  • Epistemology
  • Ethics
  • Logic
  • Metaphysics
  • Philosophy of Mind
  • Philosophy of Science

Recognizing there can be significant overlap, I find myself most drawn to Philosophy of Mind, which—not coincidentally—I also find the most challenging.

What this means in terms of my future time allocation and how this might relate to my writing isn’t quite clear to me yet. Taking the next step in understanding this specific branch in philosophy would be a significant investment, with only an intellectual ROI, and I am not sure it’s worth it.

But then again, I only live once.
