As I write this post, it’s 4 a.m. in the morning in Seattle. I’m in between real-time Wittgenstein lectures which I am taking through a live-stream from Oxford, England. (It’s 12 noon there, and everyone is probably having a cup of tea and sandwiches.)

Content aside (which is quite good), it’s nice to take a step back and think about what I am doing: I am listening to/asking questions of (via chat) an Oxford lecturer—an expert in Wittgenstein—real-time, from 4,700 miles away.

Just a quarter of a century ago, this would be inconceivable.

What an amazing time to learn.
