Anger is not a bad emotion.

There is much to be angry about in this world—especially in regards to injustice—and anger, in the right context, can be a useful tool for motivation.

Yet on Twitter, there are people who appear to be angry all of the time. Every tweet is critical. Every tweet is negative. Every tweet is filled with righteous indignation. They are right, and you are wrong, and they are simply begging for a fight.

I do my best to avoid these people.

I mute them, I ignore them, and I don’t engage them.

Why?

It’s not because they are wrong. In fact, often they are dead-on right.

It’s because they are joyless.

They cannot be happy (or whatever it is that substitutes for happiness in their minds) until everyone around them is also joyless.

Be wary.
