A couple of weeks ago, I went on a slight Twitter frenzy, creating about 19 tweets, most of them over a few hours on a Sunday morning.

The subjects of my tweets were varied: hockey, The Mandalorian, my cat, Liverpool FC, a great writer named Terry Brooks, Katy Perry, Star Trek—Picard, etc.

I was “tweeting loose” and having fun—but I’ll make one key point: I intentionally only tweeted light-hearted material, and I intentionally avoided politics, religion, and social commentary.

Even when I am “playing” on Twitter, I am still careful. I generally don’t consider Twitter a good platform for serious discussion, and I certainly don’t want to land in one accidentally without careful consideration.

So, tweet loosely if you want, but I will only do it with a high level of intentionality.
