On the podcast The Self Publishing Show (@SelfPubForm), I heard a great quote from Tiffany Yates Martin (@FoxPrintEd -author of Intuitive Editing) about how to approach the process of editing and writing:
Write like a dog, edit like a cat.
It’s similar to Hemingway’s quote “Write drunk, edit sober,” mentioned by James Blatch (@jamesBlatch), but Martin’s quote is better, at least for editing. Cats symbolize meticulousness and patience better than sobriety does!
