Everyone should have a spot, especially writers.

Somewhere away from the home. A place to walk to, a place to think, a place to read or a place to write.

Here’s one of my favorite spots. (Photo above). Meydenbauer Bay Park on Lake Washington, 2 blocks from my home.

It has one of the finest qualities of a spot. It has quite a few sub-spots, little nooks and crannies I can find to sit in, depending on the direction of the sun and my desire to read or write or just think.

From dusk to 11 pm, it’s also always available to me, and it’s a place I visit frequently—rain or shine—sometimes 3-times a week, sometimes 3-times a day!

And as a blogging spot? It’s the best. It’s an environment rich in sight and sound (mostly because of the water), and ripe for short content ideas. (Heck, it is the catalyst for this post about my spot, which I am writing right now in my spot!)

So , find a great spot if you can. It’s worth it!
