Twice a year my habit is to take a week off for something I call Deep-Think Week, but this year I’m modifying it to include several days of Deep-Writing.

I have a current writing project which has yet to turn the corner, but what do I need to turn this corner?

Simply put, I need a few days of focused writing-only time. So, to ensure this happens, I have reserved a room at a Downtown Seattle hotel for next week, which will isolate me from my life’s daily Bric-à-Brac tasks.

Will it work? I am not sure, but even the preparation for it—such as determining what I need to take with me to do this writing surge—has been helping my writing focus.

Updates to follow.
